How this coconut gud came to be

In coastal kitchens from Kerala to Goa to coastal Karnataka, coconut and jaggery have always been paired. They go into kozhukattai, into payasam, into the filling of modaks and laddoos. The combination is ancient. The flavour memory is deep. But it has never been available as a standalone, ready-to-eat product made with real ingredients — until now.

FromKhet Coconut Gud is made by blending our unrefined jaggery with freshly grated coconut — dried at low temperature to preserve its natural oils and flavour, not processed into desiccated powder. The coconut brings a gentle tropical warmth that softens the intensity of the jaggery, creating a sweetness that is complex without being heavy.

This is not a novelty. It is not a fusion experiment. It is an old idea that deserved a better home — and we have given it one.
